Has the exhaust been modified for through hull exit?

that is just for when running water it doesn't get on everything. I bought this 2006 4.3 mercerize from the local west Marine shop. He said it would be nice for my boat a cruising. I really wanted a 5.7 yet he was sure this was best for me instead... Maybe a sales tactic...I fell for it@ $2500 later!
