Default Gallery Picture Upload Problem

I keep getting this error message when I try to upload my pictures. Any suggestions? The file sizes are only about a meg each and I've tried just one at a time. ????

"Error 500 - Internal server error
An internal server error has occured!
Please try again later."

yeah..you might have to make the pic's smaller...around 300x500pixels....not sure..but I'll talk to jonathan about it...

What is the preffered size for posting and pulling up the full picture?

I sized mine to around 550x350. That seemed to work well.
