Question Album Photo Upload

Need help in upload of photos to my album when they are rotated left when they upload. When I select them they are in the proper position, what must I do to correct this? They were taken on my phone and sent to our PC file via an email attachment. Thanks

Are you saving the copy of the file after it is re-oriented, but prior to upload? IT sounds like the original file is sideways, the viewing application is re-orienting the file, but not saving the change to the file itself. Then when you upload the file, it is uploading the original orientation because the source was never saved to reflect the changes.

Just a thought.

Question Photo Upload Issue

Shrew -
No, I select the photos from the file on my PC which are upright but when uploaded they rotate left, Can not figure out why this is happening. Since they were taken by my cell phone then copied to my home PC I did not have this issue. Missing something?

I have seen this as well. I have an iPhone and on my iPad the photos are correct but rotated on my PC. I just rotate them sideways on my PC before uploading and it works.

If you took the picture with your phone sideways, then the photo is sideways. I suspect your viewing application is auto-orienting but the actual file is sideways.

Please upload a copy of the photo on this thread as an example. If it appears sideways, then leave it sideways.

Question Photo Upload Issue

Shrew -
As you can see it rotates left. Mike had posted to rotate photo but it shows correct when viewed on the PC. Not sure how to even rotate the photo?
Thanks,

Smile Photo Upload Issue

Shrew & Mike + All -
Found out how to upload the photos showing my new bimini top. The issue is with the size of the photo. The 600 x 600 pixel limit must be done, resize your photos prior to loading them. Worked for me, should have seen that issue earlier, sorry!

Weird. I see the issue. I downloaded it sideways. Righted it, however each time I try to upload it back again, it's sideways. I'm glad you figured it out. Now I'm scratching my head.

Smile Proud of my 1992 Maxum 1800SR

Shrew -
It has been the fun in the summer that I will never forget. She has had some issues on the maintenance front lately but she is "no spring chicken". Proud of all the compliments fellow boaters give when they see her. Thanks for your comments.
