you meet the nicest people on these sites.
well...i have to tell you folks that sometimes you meet the nicest people on these sites...sometimes you meet nut jobs...but overall I've been lucky and met quite a few nice folks....
about 10 yrs ago I started boating with bayliner 2455 sunbridge...not having a clue about the internet or much less plastic boats...I was invited to join a boating site..then I traded my 2455 for a maxum 2700scr...for 5 yrs we enjoyed that boat but I maintained my connection to the bayliner website...I started corresponding with a gentleman from pennsilvania ...an ex submariner and engineer...we joked and yacked over the yrs but had never met in person..
this friday they showed up in town and we raced over to meet up with them..take em to dinner and show them seattle....today we made some Copper River salmon dinner for them...talked and laughed like kids...had an enjoyable time meeting and getting to know people we had never met....
Isn't this technology stuff great!!.....we had a great weekend and they got to see some of the seattle area that they never would have seen as tour-on's.....
just wanted to brag a bit....we had a great time meeting new friends.....
