Wiring Stero Remote on 2700

I am thinking about installing a stereo remote at the helm. I have a jensen stereo and both wired and wireless versions are available. Just wondering if anyone can tell me how hard it is to run the wire from the stereo (in the closet in the cabin) to the helm and where the wire would run. I live two hours from my boat so I haven't looked yet.

I installed on of these last year and love it. You can put one in the center of the wheel and have a key fob (floats and waterproof). They also work with most stereos.
