as long as the bellows isn't leaking...and you keep the drive down when not out of the water..you should not have any issues yet....the bellows replacement depends on if it developes any cracks or splits...for a1g2 drives..they will last a long long time..as in around 5-10 yrs...for b3 drives...some last about as long as the boat....so..depending on how you treat the bellows...I'd not worry about it for now....
if your worried..have it inspected and the mechanic will recommend either replacement or just more lubing...

So I should lower my out drive while it's in the garage? I'm looking through my manuals and don't see any mention of doing that, is it one of those "good to do" things that the manufactures don't tell you?

according to my mech...yes..it's a good to do thing...the bellows won't be in a stressed position when not needed and will last alot longer if you put it down when not in trailer mode for travel....I do that every time I get the boat on the blocks and then lower the drives...
