Windows that won't stay open - Maxum Boat Owners Club

Although not new to boating, we just purchased a 2003 Maxum 3300 SCR. The oval cabin windows on the port and starboard side will not stay up/open. They cannot be tightened (one broke trying to tighten). Maxum does not seem to have an answer. Anyone experience this problem? Thanks.

I believe my windows are the same style. I was able to tighten by tightening the screws on the ends of the hinges. Is that what you tried? Just don't tighten too much.

thanks yes I have tried that but those screws won't tighten enough to hold the window up/open. As mentioned I tightened one too much and it broke. Thanks for your suggestion.
