Default What kind of boat do I have?

I bought a 19.5ft open bow Maxum. The title says the model number is 1950MUMB. The serial # is USKA63MUJ192. I am trying to buy a custom cover for my boat but when I search for my model I can never find mine. The custom covers are non-refundable so I want to make sure that I order the right one for my boat. The closest model to mine that I can find is a 1950MUBU.

First welcome M to the website.

Your HIN number is your USK number. The last two number is the year that it was made, which was 1992.

The model of your boat is 1950. I would think all you need to tell your canvas people is you HIN number and they should be able to figure it out as far as what you have.

Hope this helps and let us know how you come with all this.

I agree with Roger, however shrew may be able to shed some light on what MUMB stands for.

USKA63MUJ192

USK = Bayliner
A63MU = Hull Serial Number
J1 = Date of Certification or Manufacture
92 = 1992

Model Name = 1950SR
Serial Number ID = MU

The "MU" represents the ID for model 1950SR. I find it odd that they are using a Bayliner MIC in the HIN for a Maxum. I would contact Maxum Customer Care to verify the exact model against the HIN.
