What battery

Anyone have suggestions on best and reasonable battery for a 1999 2100 SC? I want to add a battery switch and of course a second battery. If you have done this, where is the best place to position second battery? I assume it would be best as close to the other.

I cannot give you an exact answer however if the current battery is on the port side you may want to locate the second on the starboard for weight distribution if you have room for it.

Does your boat have a list? If so, placing the battery on the other side can help. Are you thinking a deep cycle that you can isolate?
