Post what anchor works best

I have a 3000scr and I havent been able to find the right anchor to fit when pulled all the way up by the windlass. It looks like the claw will work the best because of the curve in the pulpit when pulled up. Any suggestions would be great.

The best anchor is the one that will hold the best in the bottom conditions you anchor out in. How it fits or looks in the pulpit is secondary.

Ok I know that lol but a regular anchor pulled all the way up is scratching the boat all up because it doesn't sit correctly.

I have a 01 3000 and I have a #13 Danforth that I use for muddy and hard clay hooks on the Illinois river. Fits the pulpit perfect!

What's a 'Regular Anchor'??

New-Age Anchors are far more effective than 'old-school' anchors IMHO

New-Age Anchors: Spade, Rocna, Manson, Mantus, Bugel

Through-pulpit designs will make anything with a rollbar (Rocna Original, Manson Supreme, Mantus, Bugel) difficult to mount. These will lend themselves better to a Spade, Rocna Vulcan, Mantus Boss.

Over the pulpit designs will handle a rollbar.

Old School Anchors: Plow (Delta), CQR, Danforth, Claw (Bruce).
