Default Westerbeke repair

So, My genny Westerbeke 4.5BCG (96 3200SCR) is not putting out AC. I've been through most of the testing procedures, even manually excited the windings. No luck.
Who repairs these? Any pointers?

One simple thing to check, there is a 30amp circuit breaker on the back of the control box. Check to see that it is turned on.

Otherwise, the manual has pretty detailed trouble shooting steps, and is available on Westerbeke's website.

This one doesn't have a breaker, but I'm wayyyyyy past that.
Good stuff in the manual, but still no go.

Well, you got me. Looks like you need to find a westerbeke dealer in your area.

Good for you!! My stator just melted down, and I'm in the process of replacing the stator and rotor.

Turns out their manuals are hard to follow, but after you read them 15 times, everything is there.

Also, Broward armature and motor is awesome.

And if you're running just a little low voltage, like, 100 to 105 volts, test your stator before it melts.

If yours is a bcg, the governor is electronic. Gain is a little dial you turn with a screwdriver. The technical manual has good instructions on gain adjust.

Gain is how quickly it adjusts the throttle to respond to changes in load. If its hunting that much, it has too much gain, and is overshooting on its correction.

Mine doesnt seem to be hunting or bogging down much at all.
Does bog down to 108ish for a brief second when the ac is trying to start.
Does the same every once in a while even on shore power.
Neither the ac or the genny has been run for over a year, until now, or even more.
I discovered the start cap in the ac had a chunk broken off when i began the restoration process about a month ago, so i replaced it.
The ac will fail to kick over even on shore power every once in a while. Then after a few trys, it starts.

if i disconnect the gov (its a manual one) and give is gas quick with no load don't rev up but don't die, like the main jet is plugged up but i cleaned it out last year same thing this year. sounds like carb ? runs great on everything but ac unit ?

I'm pretty convinced its the Air Conditioner. The (internal) breaker on the AC trips just before the compressor starts, even on shore, every once in a while.
The Genny barely bogs at all, with the microwave on, the stove top, etc.
