Default Weight!!

Hi. I weighed my Maxum SRC2900 year 2001 I have engines 4.3. According to NADA guide it weighs dry 7300 pounds. I’ve arrived at 11200 pounds with half a tank of gas. The difference is huge! Someone has already weighed his boat to compare!??
Thanks to everyone

Welcome aboard!

When you weighed it did that include the trailer? The listed dry weight is the boat only, no fluids or gear. Also are you comparing the same engines and drives?

With the trailer it's 13112 pounds, yes I have the same engines. I have a generator that has it alone I have to add 500 pounds, and the rest of the equipment but having 4000 pounds more I think nada guide is not as reliable as I thought

I think the weight in NADA is the base boat that came with a single big block and not the twin V6’s you have. If you look under Documents you can see the manual for the 2800 which later became the 2900 and it lists the weight close to the NADA number.

7,300lbs seems light, even for a dry weight.

I believe it was either 7,500 or 8,500.

NADA: 6,633lbs
PowerBoat Guide: 9,100lbs

Thanks, supports my thought that the NADA weight the OP say was for a single engine 2900 and not his twins.
