Water system not working on 2400 scr

Hi there
I’ve bought the maxum 2400 scr this week, it’s a 1999 model and I’m just going around it at present trying to get to grips with how everything works.
I cannot get any water to run and fear it may be the pump but you guys might know something I don’t. I’ve filled the water tank, I’ve turned on the red switch labelled water in the cabin, I’ve tried turning the water heater on but nothing is working. No water running what do ever. Can anyone advise me on what I might have missed or what the issue could be?

If pump is not working do not turn on water heater as you will damage the heating element.
Ck all fuses under helm.

The water pump should be in the engine compartment on the forward bulkhead, do you hear it running? Try disconnecting the output hose to see if water comes out. Verify there is 12V at the pump.

What Donald and Mike advised plus after verifying the fuses are good I would check voltage at the switch. The switch could be bad or in my case the previous owner of the boat wired the fresh water pump to a different switch.

Is the battery switch on? The pressure sure pump (water pump) is 12volt (DC) and runs off of the batteries. The battery charger runs off of 120volt (AC) and runs off of the shore power. The water heater is also 120volt (AC) and only runs off of shorepower.
