Default Vacuflush head

I'm new to the whole pump out thing, is there anything that I need to do other than open the deck fitting and start sucking it out with the pump out hose? I have a vacuflush head.
Thanks ,
Matt

That is about it, other than putting holding tank chemicals into the holding tank when you're done.

Very good, thanks Shrew
As far as winterizing the head, can I just flush some antifreeze and then pour some down the pump out deck fitting?

I have a vacuflush as well.. I fill the bowl completely full and hold the pedal down for a good 10 seconds to flush the hoses out real good. Turn the power off to the head and flush again to release the vacuum. Pump out. Turn power back on to the head and fill the bowl with a little water and the holding tank chemicals and flush again. Done.

You will absolutely need to pour antifreeze (propylene glycol) down the head and flush back to the holding tank. You'll want enough to ensure you've displaced an water in the line between the head and the tank.

The pump will always leave something behind. You'll want enough to ensure there is enough in the holding tank to keep anything from freezing.
