Default Use OEM parts...

...below the waterline!
Last winter, I redid everything on my drives. All the bellows and such were all Mercruiser, except on shift bellow. I figured what's the worse that can happen with a shift bellow...? Well the aftermarket bellow had a plain steel crimp clamp and a plain steel screw in the hose clamp. That screw rotted to a skinny pencil, so the clamp loosened and it started to leak. Luckily this leak started between yards, so the boat was only in the water a couple hours. Bought an OEM bellow set and put those clamps on. Maybe next winter I'll pull the cable and replace the bellow too...
