Default Trim "UP" stopped working

Hey everyone,
Need some help here... my trim "up" isn't working. Here's the symptoms... appreciate any help you can offer!

Key in "On" position
Trailer switch: Pressed, works, solenoid clicks, pump runs, battery voltage indicator drops
"Down" switch: Pressed, works, solenoid clicks, pump runs, battery voltage indcator drops
"Up" switch: Pressed, Nothing, no solenoid click, battery voltage indicator unchanged

Specs:
1994 Maxum 2000sc
Alpha One, GenII
3.0LX

My search pulled up everything from the Trim limit sender, to faulty wiring. Im hoping that someone here might help me narrow it down some!

Thanks!
Steve

Have you tried bypassing the switch? Sounds like that's at fault...

Or the trim up limit switch on the drive is stuck closed or open depending on how it works

Trim "up" works while underway, however doesn't work at all when it's out of the water sitting on the trailer. Now, Im really confused!

Thanks SP - this is actually the sterndrive trim thats got me baffled. I thought for certain it was a bad solenoid, but when it started working underway I really started scrathing my head! Im leaning towards the trim sender and limit "pucks" now. Am I right in reading that you need to drop the sterndrive to replace these??!?

mercruiser doesn't need to have the drive removed...they are on the side...but check with your local mercruiser repair guy..he might have a better idea for you

If the trim works under way but not on the trailer are you sure the leg is fully down on the trailer as the trim up wont work untill its past a certian level in the down position.
