In short I would think yes. I only know a little about te TKS. I would assume wiring is required for the temp sensor and injector. I don't have a wiring diagram for the TKS so I don't know what is required. Either get a manual to shows it or see if you can google it.

I'll try google when i get time.

I don't see much helpful here.

Oh forgot to ask what carb you have now, if a 4bbl then this doesn't make sense as TKS is only a 2bbl. Also think this may be a little more involve than I origionally stated.

Possible but I beleive folks would rather go for more HP with either a 4bbl or EFI conversion. Most would not find the benefits of TKS worth the effort and cost.

Are you having starting issues with you 2bbl?

not sure why you're converting, My set up is stock 2bbl with the 5.0. We run smooth and at wot we max out at 40mph. no issues anywhere though the rpm ranges. If you're having issues it might just be that you need to rebuild or rejet the current carb.

Only advantage of TKS is not choke to set and priming of engine (2 pushes of throttle). Designed to start like EFI, turn key and idle.

Is something broken? I would focus on everything that is broken first. Then I would focus on replacing things that break, and then focusing on replacing those things which are in immanent danger of breaking . There are so many places to spend money, I don't typically suggest one look for them.

Thanks guys for your advices.I just bought the boat, and did not have the chance to take it for a long ride.So ,i am assuming the carb is just fine. The reason i am upgrading to TKS are to save gas and easy starting. Also this boat will be used in Thailand, and the gas there is a mix of 90% and 10% ethanol.I just thought the standard carb might not work well with this type of gas.I will be shipping the boat, and its alot cheaper if i buy all the things i need from the States and ship them with the boat.Just my thoughts.Cheers

TKS will not improve gas mileage. 10% ethanol is common throught out most of the US. Most of us have been running it for a few years without issues. Main concern is not to let moisture accumulate in the tank as this can result in phase seperation of the ethanol.

Burning lots of gas helps as there will be fresh gas in the tank from filling up regularly
