Default The Story so far with my little (BIG) project

Hi All

As I'm writing this it's 10:50pm I have just come in to the house from working on the boat.

Todays jobs

Made some temporary exhaust manifolds so I can run the engine while waiting for the stainless ones (Mad Max Style) Fitted the out drive, Repaired the trim motor and sortred the electrics for it. Ran the engine in a big tub to check forward reverse etc

Just been to the petrol station and filled 6 one gallon cans. Put that in and the gauge hasn't moved off the E (that cost the equivelent of $70)

So Im getting there now I have a running engine and a working stern drive

Just need to sort out the:

Rev counter, Horn, Nav Lights, Courtosy Lights

Then I can start on all the Polishing and Audio Install

What chances do you think I have of getting it all done for my brothers after wedding party? (It's in two weeks)

Audio install?! Deadline?! Mad Max style?! You need me! This is my speciality....

In all seriousness, if you want some help on the audio side of things and need some details give me a bell and I'll see what I can do... be that products or just advice. We are now the biggest supplier of Marine Audio to the sportsboat and ski boat market in the UK so have stacks of stock and also stacks of 'out of box' bits and bobs which may help you. plus cabling off the reel which will save you a ot over buying in Halfords/Ebay etc...

Thanks Brit Rider much appreciated

The exhausts are very mad max, I will have to video it and post it up (hopefully my new ones will be ready this week)

I fancy one of those fusion inner Ipod ones but I have a Ipod touch and it doesn't look like it supports that one, So have been looking at an Alpine Ipod headunit IDA x100 (Non Marine) but then I will have to make a waterproof dock to fit somewhere. I've brought some Clarion CMCX7.1 speakers they seem quite good.

What sort of out of box bits? I love a bargain

Looks like I need to update the website... it supports both iPod Touch and iPhone (Tough iPhone has to be in Airplane mode). If you fancy one I can put a deal together on one for a fellow Maxumer.... PM me. Can't publish discounted Fusion prices online.

I have stacks of "out the box" tower speakers, also loads of Kicker Speakers that I can let go for sub £20 a pair.

I'm currently over stoked on Kicker MX700.5 amps, they retail for £549.00 but if your quick you can have as many as you want for £350.00 inc wiring kit. They're flying out at the mo but once this pallets gone I'll be back to normal so back to £550'ish ex wiring.

Got some cheaper Kicker amps knocking around too.. think I have a KX250.2 I could do for £100 delivered. Might be sold though depending on if the guy calls me back tomorrow.

All depends on what you're after, what the aim is and what the budget is 8)

I've got a couple of car amps I'm going to have a play with.

Wish I'd of know it did work with the touch I've just ordered a cheap fusion ipod headunit (Car one) Should be ok for now though.

Do fancy putting some more speakers in it and a sub don't know where yet though. Will get round to all that when the boat's finished.
