Default Temp light

Hey Guys,

On Pelee Island this past weekend and just leaving to go home when heading out of marina where suddenly engine temperature gauge came on. Turned around quickly and headed back in. Seaweed is very bad there. I’m figuring the intake is full of seaweed. Is this a quick fix? 2007 Maxum 2400 se. 350 mercrusier with bravo 3 stern drive.

Thanks in advance.

I have real heavy grass in my creek which collects around the leading edge of my drive. When I get into the clear I stop the boat and gun it in reverse to clear the grass then proceed on my trip. I keep my boat on a lift so I don’t have to worry about the grass growing into the water inlet.
