Tell me about my boat

Hello, I bought a 1989 Maxum Ski-boat (open bow). It measures approx. 16.5' long.

I'd like to learn more about it. First off, can you help me determine what model it is? I think I've seen similar boats online that are call "1700". Does that sound right to you fellas?

Also, I'd like to find out the total fuel capacity.

Any other details would be welcome.

Lastly, I plan on repair the floorboards this winter. There are a few weak spots. I hope that some rot-fix resin will absorb into the wood and harden up these soft spots. Advice from someone who has done this before would greatly be appreciated.

Welcome to the zoo...I'm not up on the smaller boats but one of our resident small boat guys will help out I hope....
for any manuals....get the HIN number on the aft/stbd hull and call maxum/US Marine..they can provide you with a copy of the original....
