Hi HavaMax, I've been looking through your awesome pictures.... Thanks for posting them! I have some questions for you..... August of last year I purchased a 3200 SCR that looks identical to yours, I noticed in many of your pictures you are towing your boat on a trailer, mine unfortunately did not come with one but I am thinking of purchasing one. I was wondering, how does the boat trailer? What do you pull it with, I have a GMC 3500 Box Truck with a 6.0 ltr engine, would that do the trick? Do the police give you any trouble with the width? How far have you actually towed your boat? I have tailored my 30' Scarab for many years, just curious how the new beast would do?
Thanks in advance for any input you could give me, I would also appreciate any other little tidbits of info/tips you could share about the Maxum!

Hi All,
Here are a few pictures of my 3200 SCR I bought in August of 2014. We are Lake Erie boaters out of the Cleveland OH area.

0G your boat turned out really good, must be nice to have an indoor storage to work on her.

Gravity......like you I purchased my boat without a trailer. For about 3 years I borrowed a friends trailer from his 30 foot carver. Finding a trailer to borrow here on my lake for this size boat is hard to do, and I knew I needed one of my own. I had my aluminum I beam trailer made in Phoenix. $8600 out the door. Surge brakes, brakes on all three axles, aluminum bunks......I love it! I had it custom made with 10ft axles. The boat is over width and needs permitted for highway travel. Other than weight behind the truck it tows beautiful!! I really only tow around town a couple times a year for beauty shop and maintence, fuel. My dockmate towes his carver about 600 miles twice a year. 3/4 ton diesel and prefer dual rears. On another note, where are you getting the replacement striping for your 32?? Jesse

Also, check into having a vinyl shop making the maxum letters for the sides. Way better than the factory raised lettering......

Thanks, and it is very nice, my Marina was going to charge me about $700 for outdoor storage, then I would have spent another $500 for shrink rap and winterizing, this indoor storage facility charged me $1000 and I have to pay another $400 round trip to transport it. so for an extra couple bucks I can work on it all winter, he keeps the building at about 50 degrees....so it was kinda a no brainer!

I'm ordering the thin stripes that go around the boat above the rub rail online and getting rid of the gold and changing it to green to match the canvas, I was going to do the same with the thick multi colored stripes under the gray/brown gelcoat, but I actually like it without any stripe separating the two colors, I think it looks cleaner, same thing with the Maxum badging, I might just leave it off (what do you think?), but I will be putting the "3200 SCR" back on in vinyl.
As for the trailer, I too would only use it a couple times a year, but it would be nice to have it....wow $8600 for a custom made all aluminum trailer is a steal!
Thanks for the info!
