That is common in Europe and Oz. Many in Europe will even rip out the gas engines and immediately repower with diesel.

Yes and its not my first or last I'm sure, see here in Oz we have pirates of the highest order in the form of boat brokers, I bought that in Mexico, paid a captain to take to palm Beach, shipped across the globe paid 10% taxes and still paid only 2/3 of what one already here was asking in worse condition with less extras

Sounds like a good business to get into. You're sure to turn a profit when you sell.

In the early 80's my brother (who lives in Melbourne) came up with an idea to ship early 60's mustangs to OZ land from the US. At the time anything bought in to Oz whether tax or tariff the price was doubled to import them in. We might of made some money but had other priorities (Kids and family)...............

Well Roger I started the day at the gym, then cleaned dog puke in te the back set of my truck (early present), and have had a few beers; Heavy Seas (local) Winter Storm, Sam Adams Boston Lager, and Sam Adams Winter.
Not in a feastive spirit so the decorations are just going to have to wait, besides told the wife I am cutting back on the outside. We live down a private road with 3 other houses where no one else does half of what we have for 15 years. Just too much for the one day we have company.
I want to downsize the house and increase the boat, have to see how that plan plays out.

Headed out yesterday, here we are about to go under the bridge near our house. Its a shame so many of our neighbors are letting their docks just rot away. And finally, approaching downtown. I didn't think to take pics during the fireworks last night, but there are more tonight.
