Where was that shot taken? Your camp sites look like they are in the padre bay or kane wash area. I find that area to be a bit exposed and not much shade.

We met some friends for a night, they were camped just above Labyrinth, not far off the main channel.

We also camped in Last Chance/Rock Cr./Friendship

Hate staying put for consecutive nights.

Yeah, I move daily when not with a house boat... you have to pull the anchors for the run to DR for ice cream, might as well find a new spot each day

I saw it when they had to haul it to repair the damage from running it aground. It's really huge on a trailer. I was surprised at the flat bottom, shallow draft.

The flat bottom on a full dispacement boat makes the boat significantly more stable. It rolls slower, making it more gentle in rough seas as well as being able to recover from a rolling over at greater angles.
