Tabs part deux

As I narrow down the choices, its looking more and more like Lenco. The last decision is whether to go with 9x9 or a 9 inch wide by 12 inch long and edge mount. The edge mount only requires 11 inches of height so I should be able to stay away from the curved portion where the swim platform joins the transom.

I thought someone stated that they had tried tabs on their Maxum, but can't find the response. If you are out there, I would sure like to know what your experience is.
