how much should a surveyor charge for looking over a 2900 in the maryland area?( specifically baltimore)

I’ll second that estimate … it’s the ballpark of what I’ve paid. If this is your first experience, here are a few tips. f you haven’t yet, make accommodations for a sea trial and a short haul (pulling it out of the water at the ramp). By the time you pay for the surveyor, you’ll want them to be able to check everything. Depending on where the boat is, it can be tricky to coordinate between seller, surveyor and marina, so don’t wait for the day of. Also, make sure you ID who will be driving during the sea trial. Usually the surveyor is not willing or able to drive and the seller probably won’t let you either so either the seller has to be present, or maybe the seller can coordinate with a mechanic at the marina. All may add some additional cost.
