Default Sticky goo

This one is for the category of WTF !

I use the sticky pads in my 3000 scr during the winter for mice protection. This spring when I was taking off the shrink wrap I gather all my sticky pads up and put them in the cockpit sink until I could depose of them later. Well it must of got warm enough that the sticky part liquefied and ran into the drain and around the edge. It's not a lot but enough to make a mess.

So far I have used acetone and it's working very very slowly to remove it. I bought some goo gone pro formula and going to try that tomorrow.

Any boating chemist out there in maxumland that can point me to something that will break this sticky stuff down and work so I can get this sticky mess cleaned up?

Thanks

Roger

I would try asking the manufacturer of the traps what they recommend.

Thanks Mike...

I ended up Google ing it like I do everything else in life and it recommended using vegetable oil or vinegar to dissolve the glue resin. Neither worked well lol. Sprayed my goo gone pro and it was dissolved immediately. Wow! Smelled nice too!

Thanks again
