Default Steering Problems

I've got a Maxum 3200 with twin 5.7s. We took it out this President's Day and the steering effort was unusually high. It got better at speed, and it seemed easier to turn left than right, but it was still pretty difficult. The boat has been stored since October. Any ideas?

Could start by checking power steering fluid levels

The power steering levels were the first thing I checked. They were fine.
