Default Speedometer Problems

i have a 1999 1900sr and for some reason the speedometer isnt reading anything. Can someone please educate me and what the problem might be and how to possibly correct the problem. thanks!

Hi there, just a suggestion, have you looked at the back of the bell housing, there is a small hose with a snap on fitting twist and pull (the fitting is mostly yellow in colour) the tube attached is what sends pressure + to the speedometer. You should check it may be broken, disconnected or blocked. You may also have a leak in the tube. You could also try disconnecting the tube at the gauge, fit a test tube and blow/suck see if the speedometer movers I have checked a gauge in the work shop these ones take a lot of blowing by mouth, (blowing increases the speed reading on the gauge)
