Default Some pics from this weekend.

Took a small pleasure cruise this past sat up to Michigan, about 10 miles away. Mid 80's, less than one foot waves, and slight wind from the NW @5 mph made it a great boating day. Here are some pics.

Some of the more expensive houses in a gated community. 10K sqft minimum, few million each.

Our lighthouse

Going up river under the bridge. Opens up to allow sail boats thru. Really cool stuff when you see it open. Naval armory to the left.

Bar on the river we'll dock up to or take the dinghy to on weekends.

Amtrack bridge. Every half hour this thing turns and spans the river so the Amtrack can buzz thuru. Another really cool bridge on the river. Pretty shallow on both sides so you have to watch going thru.

Original lighthouse from the late 1800's. Now a museum

Me, starving and ready to get back to port

Finally dinner!

Too hazy to see Chicago, but otherwise an end to a perfect day!

Any tricks you can pass on for posting pics to this site (within the postings)?

I have my pics on a server (www.madmax.smugmug.com) as well.

I have tried using the [img] tags but have not figured it out. Do you use these tags for your images?

ill take the url for the picture:

http://miscpicsforgsite.homestead.com/1 ... 00x599.jpg

highlight it, then hit the Img button. that will then make it look like this

[img]http://miscpicsforgsite.homestead.com/100_2765_op_00x599.jpg[/img ]

which turns it into a picture on this page
