Silicone on bellows

Boat is in winter storage until spring and just wondering if anyone has sprayed silicone(one without acetone) on their bellows and if it helps to act as a preservative to prevent drying out while in storage?

In my experience the best thing one can do to prolong bellow life is to have the drive down and centered. Leaving the boat in the water does more to shorten its life that out of the water.
