Default side view mirrow

Has anyone mounted a side view mirror on the boat? I think it would making backing up into the slip a little easier. I think it would need to be mounted on the port side railing somehow. Just can't seem to find a mirror that fits and swivels to the right position.

Have not heard of anyone doing this. Ski boats have a rear view mirrow to watch skiers. I have heard of big cruisers installing a camara hooked up to a multifunction display at the helm.

Mount only things on the side of the boat that you want a piling/dock to remove forcibly for you.

I cannot see how a mirror would be beneficial for docking.
