Well, since Tommy has raised the bar, and since I don't yet have a photo of the boat, I suppose this will have to do.

Cool are they boaters? We were sitting at what all the locals call stretches. Is a large sandy cove that is protected from the south. Labor day there were 150-200 boats there. People raft up and then walk around chatting and such.

2007 1800MX. Sorry to be "lowering the bar"....no full boat pictures with anyone good looking aboard! Got this boat in June, our first "boat". So far it's putted around here locally, pulled tubes/skiers/wakeboards, caught it's first salmon (and promptly after that lost it to a seal), and left us stranded adrift only once (faulty ground connection). Been a good summer.

Cool deal. Great first boat! I wasn't aware that the MX came in a I/O. Does it have the 4.3 in it? I have the 1800SR-3 and while my wife and I have been planning our move into a sport cruiser for 2 years now, our lil' Maxum still gives us a lot of bang for the buck. Plus I store it in my garage!

It has the 3L, had been looking for the 4.3L but only a few available and the price was $2K too high in my opinion. Been happy with it, enough spunk to pull wakeboarders and my kids skiing/tubing. Good on gas too so I'm happy with that compared to the 4.3L. We liked the 1800SR3 too but it was a price jump for us. Figured this was a great boat to learn the ropes with and make sure boating is what we actually want to do. So far so good. Now trying to figure out mounting a kicker to the back narrow platform, haven't tracked down much help there so far Once I do that it will impede the tow rope due to the location of the rope attachment so that'll mean a ski pylon next.....the costs just keep mounting!

hmmmm....$2500-3000 for a tower.....$300 for a pylon. Easy choice there Nearly had a jammer when I saw a local marine shop with a yamaha near new 9.9hp for $2500. Guess I'm looking for a slightly more used kicker.

You can get towers in the $800 to $1500 range that are fantastic and fold down. Then you can start building your stereo system.
