Default Seating low

We changed the tilt trim this year. Now the boat's rear end looks lower in water when anchored. What can cause this?

What boat do you have and year? What exactly did you change? How much lower is it sitting? Was any weight added to the boat?

If anchored trim will have no impact on how the boat sits.

It's a 1995 2000sr. We change the trim cable. We had one side that was the wire was broke. We have not adding anything else to it. We have had it for 3 years.

Are you taking on water in the engine compartment? Otherwise, these things are not related.

We found the exhaust bellow is falling apart. I have not seen water in engine compartment. We are going to replace the bellow

The exhaust bellows should have no impact on how the boat sits in the water as this is a normally wet area. Mercruiser even got rid of the bellows in some applications and used a hose that is clamped to the forward side and direct exhaust into the rear exhaust port without a direct connection.
