Thank-you, Shrew! This forum has provided a lot of good advice over the years!

Here is a photo...not our boat but the interior is the same. The part of the settee we want to remove is under the big window and wraps around under the starboard small window. The seat cushions come off. There is a piece of electronic equipment that is connected to the surround sound system that has to be fixed (we think lightning fried the power supply), and it's located behind the back on the curve between the two windows. It's almost as if it was installed before the settee was installed. We can't find any screws anywhere where it might be attached.

We already tried that. What we are trying to do is access an Acoustimass Module Sound System to a Bose Lifestyle 25 Series II System that is located in the starboard aft corner of the salon behind the curved settee. Access to the unit is non-existent. There is a 3" x 5" access hole to the subwoofer bass control. We need to remove the module for maintenance. The sound system was installed on our 2001 Maxum 4100 SCB. How can we gain access to the module to be removed for maintenance? Here is a link to a picture of the settee (not our boat but the configuration is the same.)

Thread is over a year old and the OP has only the 3 post in this thread. I would not hold your breath for a reply from him. If you figure it out, post the solution here so others can learn.

I have a Maxum 4100 with the same settee couch set up and removed the couch this weekend. The screws that mount the couch to the floor are in the wood cabinets under the cushions. If you unscrew all those the unit will slide out from the wall. Careful with the screw heads they are old and will strip easy…
