Not sure what pack paint is.

No you do not want to remove the gel oat but it does need to be ruffed up with sandpaper so the paint will stick.

I do not know of ant bottom paint that can be sprayed as it is very think, roller it on.

I just re-read the post again. You are painting the entire boat as part of a boat restoration. You are curious if you should bottom paint the boat over the 2pk paint you are painting on the hull?

I think we may have misinterpreted this as a standard question on bottom painting the hull. I'm just making sure we're on the same page.

I'm also not familiar with 2pk paint. Is that an automotive paint? I'm more familiar with traditional fiberglass paints for hulls and decks like Awlgrip.
