Replacement Windshield Support Bracket?

Hello,

I have broken one of the two windshield support brackets on my 1989 Maxum 2300. This is what I am talking about:

However, mine are approx. 6 inches, and these seem to only be sold 11 inches +. Anyone know where I might be able to find a shorter support?

What about a couple of these:

All you need is a cheep pipe cutter and you're in business. If you replaced the other windshield support to match, nobody would know the difference. (Just a thought). Otherwise I'd see if a Maxum dealer can get a replacement part.
