Replacement shifter

I have a 97 2300sc, and the shifter isn't functioning properly anymore. Throttle works, and shifts into reverse, but won't shift into forward. I've checked out every other piece of the system, and come to the conclusion, the shifter needs to be replaced. Any recommendations for a quality replacement?

Have you disconnected the cables at the engine and shifter end to see if it shifts better?

Either a new Quicksilver or a teleflex unit is the way I would go.
