Default Rear View Mirror

I have a Maxum 1900, having trouble finding a rear-view mirror to fit. Most the clamps don't stay on well since the windshield framing is rounded on the Maxum. Has anyone had any success in this area ? Thanks.

This claims it will fit rounded frames.

CIPA® Comp Universal
The superior rear view of the CIPA COMP is now available for any boat with a windshield frame. New universal quick-mount, anti-scratch windshield frame bracket (patented) will mount above or below rectangular or round top windshield frames from 3/8" to 1-1/4" thick. Head ball and socket tension adjustment knob will keep this mirror exactly where you position it every time. Black. 7"x14".

And you could use the suction cup type.

I can backup that the Cipa Comp fits - I sell them and have never had any issues with customers with rounded frames. THey come with a few inserts and a foam pad so have a bit of adjustment.

If you have a tower you'll be best to get a tower mounted mirror as they work much better

I have the 1900 SR3 and tried the screw type mirror but my frame is around 1-1/4" so I had to take the rubber out of it and it scratched the frame so I went to the suction cup type and it works very well.

Have fun and good luck

I checked and it wasn't an offical CIPA products it was some other mfg. I like the suction cup type but would like something higher on top of the frame so I'll have to look into the CIPA that will go to 1-1/4".

Thanks
Barney
