Default Question -installing ACR with 2 batts & onboard charger

Boat is a 2000 2400 SCR with 2 31-series batts. Boat comes stock with onboard battery charger with a set of leads for each batt. Question is - I would like to install an automatic charging relay, similar to this Here

Lifting up the engine hatch every time to move stock Perko batt switch from 1 to 2 is not convenient at all.

Our slip in PC Florida has shorepower for the charger, and I am not sure where I would attach my leads coming from the charger - I am guessing leave them on the batteries, but not sure how the automatic charging relay plays into the mix.

Any insights are welcome. Thanks!

Hopefully the 'wiring techi's' will respond to your post. I am interested in the system myself.

Default Auto Charging Relay

I thought this was an interesting article here regarding the installation of an automatic charging relay into a system with a smart battery charger already installed.

There could be possible conflict with the logic of the ACR and the onboard charger while on shore power.

Not sure how I would wire the relay here mentioned in the article, nor am I certain of which line to tap into. Well, all these years of manually managing the battery switch I am not worried about forgetting, but would like the convenience of not having to open the engine hatch each time.
