Smile Question about switch in head

Greetings Captains,
As a recent new owner of a 2300SCR I would like to know what the red toggle switch in head is for. I believe the label says shower but the water pump switch is located on the counter in the galley next to the fridge. Turning the switch in head on or off does not seem to make any difference in the operation of the shower.
The Maxum manual does not give any indication of what this switch is for.

Thanks,
CCRUSER

That sw ops the sump pump ..if you don't hear anything try putting some water in the drain and see if it fires up.

What year is your boat? The red switch in my 2300 controls the freshwater pump(sink and transom shower).

mine is a 1993. I also have the switch next to fridge that contro;s water pump for galley sink. I assume there is only one water pump for the fresh water system. My guess is that seapuppy is correct in that it controls the sump pump for the shower.
