Default Possible New Owner

Hey guys, I found what appears to be a decent first boat for sale but don't really know what I'm looking at. I've always found forums very helpful so was hoping y'all could help. Was looking at this '97 Maxum 2300 SC but again don't really know what I'm looking at so was hoping to get some insight on wether or. not this would be a good purchase.

What kind of "work" does the engine need??

They are nice boats I owned the exact year and model with the 7.4L. It cruised very well. I just out grew it and wanted a full cabin I could stand up in.

Have you visited the boat?

Have you ever owned a boat before? Do you know what’s wrong with the engine? If not assume it needs to be replaced being 23 years old in salt water.

Take a look at this one to get an idea on cost of a wiring boat of similar age.
