Don, I pull my boat twice a year and have the drives, tabs, acid washed and the rest of the boat detailed. The sun is brutal here.... at our state launch ramps you can make an appt to have them decontamination your boat for free!!! The will hot water pressure wash, and run that water thru your systems(generator, AC, and engines).

Thank You HavaMax!
What is the boating like there? I have boated mostly in the Sacramento Delta and N. Cal. lakes, we have lots of places to anchor out at night!
Don't know what it is like there!Boat will stay on trailer or will be on a lift if left in the water!
Just starting to do some research on going there!
Thanks!
Don

Don, havasu is the west coast performance capital. Lots of big and very cool hardware. We are lacking in marinas, I am slipped in the only real marina on havasu. Very few slips with power and water. They are breaking ground on another marina as we speak. The lake is great, lots of beaches and campsites. No houses on the water. Try looking thru the Tapatalk thread, I have lots of pics there. Beautiful weather 9 months out of the year, July, august, September...brutally hot!! Too hot to even boat for me, average highs 110, lows at night 90's....way hot!! Lots of info online.....havasu lives off tourism. Google desert storm poker run....big event here. Huge custom car population also. Let me know if your in the area...I will hook you up with some me must see stuff. Tons of socal residents own second homes here. Lots of winter snowbirds.

Thanks, I did look at the taptalk thread. What a zoo, we would not like it there as we like a little peace and quiet when we are out!( Just a couple of old farts I guess!)
Thanks for the info!
Don

Even on the crazy weekends...havasu is big enough you can find a cove or beach to enjoy. That's a big reason we generally boat the other 9 month of the year. Also plenty of other places to boat along the Colorado river...[emoji106][emoji926]

If the boat is not going to stay in a slip all the time there is no concern about mussels. Powell is more infected than the AZ lakes and in 8 years I have never had an issue since my boat is stored on the trailer when not in use.
