Default Patching screw holes in transom below water line

Hi All,

Recently I installed new bigger trim tabs which required to move the actuators. I got 8 screw holes after where the old actuators were and wanted to patch them before putting the boat in the water. I was thinking about putting the screws back even if they don't do anything and apply 3M 5200 in a screw holes but I'm not sure if thats a good idea since its under water line. Thanks in advance.

That should work however I would recommend to fill the holes with epoxy resin maybe with a little thicking agent. Look into West System.
