Does anyone know how much the 2001 (or any other year) originally sold for?

Too many variables with all of the options. There were a variety of engine and drive packages, along with electronics, colors, canvas, etc.

Plus some sales people are VERY good at their jobs. Some buyers are very good negotiators.

I have no idea what the MSRP would have been. Then again, even that seems like a BS number.
