Default Olympic Boat Center

I recently contacted Lake Union SeaRay to inquire about what happened to the service records of Olympic Boat Center because I cannot find the receipt for a new engine prior to their bankruptcy. In a long story made short, all of Olympics records disappeared. In fact, there are still suits filed by former employees for backed pay.

The person I spoke to at Lake Union SeaRay told me that I may be able to track something down utilizing the serial number on the block, to see if Mercruiser may have some sort of record.

Anyway, just an FYI I thought I would share.

So, is all ok with your boat, Rich?

I think I would head down the Mercruiser path too... seems like your best bet.

when Olympic went under, under court order and Brunswick, all records and histories were boxed up and hauled away ..the electronic records went away when LUSR took over and the new software was given to them to start over...no old data was kept and all records were eventually destroyed...
sorry..

Yes, all is well with boat. Just cant find my receipt for the new engine and I would like to have that as proof when our money tree in the backyard buds and we decide to sell and buy something bigger.

heh - may I talk you out of a small cutting from said money tree? I can't tell you how many times this weekend I heard people say, "...our next boat..."

I'm glad to hear all is well with yours!
