Default Newbie - 1st Maxum

Hello. Just acquired my 1st Maxum and decided to join this great forum. Boat is: 1992 2300SCR. 4.3 LX with 255 hours after replaced in 2003. It needs a little TLC but overall in good shape. A few questions:

Gauges on dash are heavily oxidized. Can these be buffed out like is done on car headlights? Or can they be replaced?

Plexiglass hatch above doors to Cuddy is cracked with broken hinge. Can a new one be found? I’ll try attach picture of it.

Rear engine bilge has pipe entering the front of bilge from the bow (?) I think. I ran a 25ft snake into it and never could see where it goes. Any ideas?
Thanks.

I’m sure I’ll have other ?’s as I work on my new toy.

Welcome aboard

Yes you can try to buff them out. They are also replaceable and made by Faria that offers a lifetime warranty and will repair/replace if broken.

You have to make a replacement hatch yourself.

If you have a forward bilge pump the two typically are not connected.

Thanks mmwjr! Will try to buff or replace gauge (s). I assume the door cover was going to be hard to find and have thoughts on a new one. I replaced the bilge pumps (800 gph) and understand the connection issue.
Thanks again
