Default New to me 2005 2500/SE

Howdy folks! Glad to be a part of the Maxum world. Bought this boat August of last season and I'm very pleased with it so far. I've had my issues with deadheads, props, night driving on the Mississippi, etc. but over all I'm all good. The one thing I do find difficult about owning a Maxum is finding OEM parts. I need a new topside porthole/hatch (I've heard it called both) but I cannot seem to find it. I've searched and searched but 1, I don't know exactly what it's called to properly search and 2, well... let me get through 1 and maybe I'll be set Any help from the veterans would be appreciated.

cheers!

Welcome aboard

I am assuming you are referring to the forward deck hatch that was made by Bomar. Other than the hull, deck and cabin structure all other things on boats are made by third party suppliers.

Welcome!

I got 2002 2500 SCR. Not sure what exactly is difference between SCR and SE but they seems to be visually the same. I believe my round hatch is made by company JIM BLACK. Look at link below. I'm not sure if that's the part but that's what I came across when searching some parts for my boat.

Yes it's a Jim Black product. I had to replace mine on my 2004 2500SE due to the hinge being broken when some chick stepped on it.

Love the SE model. It's a beautiful boat!

Yes, that's it. I found it in black so thanks for the link to white. Although now I'm not sure which color I want Black would stand out more and maybe prevent people from stepping on it. I may have to photoshop a pic of my boat to see what it'll look like. Thanks for the help!!

Beautiful boat !!!!

I'd leave the hatch white. Cleaner look on the bow.
