Default New Swim Step Carpets

when we got our new 340...it has one of the largest swim steps I've ever seen....and we've been struggling to find a solution to the dogs getting off the boat without shooting off the swim step ..now a dog with long nails has absolutely no traction sometimes and we've had a few dog dunks and mishaps from this huge swim step....so...the solution has been to get carpets for the swim step...snap in type..I contact a few of the local carpet and custom guys...they all want between 500-600 bucks ....one gent that came here ...new to the site is Corinthian Carpets.....First off....I got a quote of about 400+/_ bucks for a set of carpets...I had to install the snaps which wasn't hard.....the second thing was the quality of the carpets...they are rubber backed and definitely heavy duty and match the cockpit carpets perfectly....3rdly....the speed of delivery and communication was excellent....

Nick and I talked a few weeks ago and he overnited me a kit to for me to template areas I wanted carpets on the boat....then after finally getting time and no winds ..I got the swim step and entry to the cockpit...then the steps going down into the salon templated...mailed it back in the box and he paid for the ups....the next day he had it and called me to tell me what the final cost would be....from there I talked to the admirable and last tues. I called nick and pulled the trigger.....wednesday Nick called and asked a quick question...thursday I had it at my front door when I came home for lunch.....now...Talk about FAST!!!....the carpets came complete and all I had to do was install the snaps....which wasn't hard.....here's a few shots of the carpets..

this is what we had to deal with

entry to cockpit

port side of the swim step installed

swim step..both pieces installed

Then this is the steps coming down into the salon

this was fairly easy to install and as I stated...the quality is outstanding....nice and heavy duty ...easy to install and all I had to do was borrow a snap pliers .....

I highly recommend Corinthian carpets...they do a fast and great job ..I got the carpets I asked for and quickly....service and communication was excellent...
on a personal note..I think carpets are over priced...no matter who is selling them since I'm basically a cheap sob...ok..frugal is more the correct term here..but for the price and quality...you can't go wrong...

Very nice and professional looking. Isn't it great when you find someone that provides fine service and a fine product and then your install works out! Well done SP.

Thanks for the writeup and pics. We've been considering this also. Really a clean look.
