After reading some of the introductions, I thought it would only be appropriate for me to introduce myself. My name is Chris this is my first boat, It is a 1989 Maxum 2050M Bowrider, 305 merc. It's in decent shape for its age wasn't looking for something brand new nor the fastest on the water something lake ready, and with time I could put money into it. I purchased it last weekend and am just starting to learn the ins and outs of what it takes to own a boat. My primary purpose for the purchase was to scratch the itch of getting out on the water this summer as a boat owner and not just a passenger.
I am a machinist by trade and tend to work 6 days a week so for now Sundays will be the only time I get out, so far had it out to lake Oolahgah in Oklahoma.
I look forward to all the enjoyment to come, Im sure I'll have lots of questions and hopefully will be able to chime in to help others eventually....
