Default New Guy with a Prop Question

Hi All

I am a fairly new owner of a 1995 Maxum SCR 3200. Engines are twin 5.7 260 hp. It will not go over 3900 rpm and the only way it will plane is with the trim tabs down at about 3200 rpms.
I am wondering if this is a pitch problem with the props.

Looking for any advice or assistance.
Glad to be aboard.

Daryl

Welcome aboard

What size props are on the boat? They may not be the original ones.

Mercruiser/quicksilver has a prop calculator on their site that recommends a size based on inputs boat parameters.

You are about a 1000 rpm short of the WOT for these engines. If the bottom clean of marine growth as this will greatly impact performance?
